After an exciting August, the Edinburgh Festival Summer is coming to an end.
The summer has been busy at Letham House. We welcomed guests from all over Britain and the world, who came to visit Edinburgh and East Lothian during the festival season.
One week after the Edinburgh Fringe is over, the end of the Edinburgh International Festival is traditionally marked by the Festival Fireworks Concert. This 45 minute long spectacle offers a breath-taking firework display choreographed to the Scottish Chamber Orchestra’s concert.
The Edinburgh Castle forms the impressive setting for over 100,000 pyrotechnics to go up into the night sky. The Festival Fireworks Concert 2014 will include pieces of Mendelssohn, Wagner, Beethoven, Debussy and Tchaikovsky. The concert will take place in Princes Street Gardens, but the fireworks can be seen from many spots throughout the city.
